Giddy Up Challenge

Four Distances. Big Impact.

May 28th - May 31st

1. CHOOSE ONE ACTIVITY:
  • Outdoor Bike

  • Indoor Bike

  • Outdoor Run

  • Indoor Run

2. PICK YOUR CHALLENGE:

3. SELECT A TRAINING PLAN:

If you’re planning to ride, we also have a set of eight different Giddy Up Challenge Training Plans to help you reach your goals. These plans were created by my own coach, Tim Cusick, who is also the founder and head coach of BaseCamp. If you Package your training with your registration you’ll save big, but if you have already purchased your Giddy Up Challenge entry, you can still sign up for a plan here.

4. REGISTER FOR THE GIDDY UP CHALLENGE:

Lock in your registration now, and then get your friends to sign up too!  Let me know you are in by using #GiddyUpForGood in your social posts.

5. SIGN UP FOR THE JOIN THE RUSCH! STRAVA CLUB:

Become part my team of adventurers through Strava's Join The Rusch club and connect all of your teammates competing all over the world.

6. REVIEW THE RULES + ETHICS, READ THE FAQ AND CHECK OUT THE YOUR MEMBERS HOMEPAGE PAGES:

Find answers to any question yo might have in the Rules + Ethics, FAQ, and Members' Homepage.  And be sure to put the Science & Stoke webinars on your schedule.

7. CREATE A FUNDRAISING PAGE OR JOIN A FUNDRAISING TEAM:

You can create your own fundraising page or join an existing team though CauseVox's Be Good™ Foundation hub.

8. JOIN MY GIDDY UP STRAVA CHALLENGES:

Each elevation and activity will have its own dedicated Strava challenge, allowing you to see who else is going for the same goal, and awarding you a trophy badge on your Strava account once you succeed. We will send you information on the Strava challenges once they are live.

9. PLAN YOUR ROUTE – CHOOSING A SINGLE CLIMB:

You must pick one hill for this challenge, and then repeat that as many times as necessary to hit your elevation target. You cannot ride or run different routes on the same mountain. But your chosen climb can be of any length. So choose wisely!

(Learn more about Eversting on my post here)

10. COMPLETE IT IN ONE SHOT:

Your challenge must be completed in one attempt—no sleeping! Stopping for meals and breaks is fine, but remember that these will increase your overall time and those breaks can add up quickly.

You must start and finish your Giddy Up Challenge sometime between 12:01 a.m. MST on Friday, May 28 and 11:59 p.m. MST on Monday, May 31. (My challenge, my time zone!)

11. SUBMIT YOUR RESULTS:

Once you’re done, you will need to submit your results to our official leaderboard. (Also you need to make sure you’ve signed up to the Join the Rusch! Strava club and your individual challenge on Strava.) We will pull the winners from that list. Results must be submitted through Everesting.cc's submission page::

12. KICK BACK, RELAX, RECOVER AND JOIN THE ONLINE AWARDS PARTY:

Join me for on online party to celebrate all the awesome stuff you just did. Expect amazing prizes, bragging rights and virtual hugs.
